Meet the 5+2!

Hi friends, and welcome to 5+2 Co. Sourdough.

We’re Luke and Victoria Massey, the “2,” and those energetic little faces above are our “5.” In April 2025, we took a leap that felt both monumental and perfectly right for our family: we purchased the beloved Swiss Pantry, a long-standing community favorite. It was a dream built on years of passion, persistence, and a love for honest, nourishing food.

Before this milestone, we spent three years baking sourdough and selling at local markets, meeting incredible people, forming friendships, and building a community that encouraged us every step of the way. Your support through markets, pre-orders, and countless encouraging conversations played a huge role in bringing us to where we are today.

Our story actually begins even earlier. Around 2018, Victoria stepped into her Sourdough Era and began learning the art and science behind simple ingredients like flour, water, and salt. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a deep passion as she refined her technique year after year. When she eventually crafted the recipe that became our Classic Loaf, the original cornerstone of our bakery, something clicked. Sourdough became a source of nourishment for our growing family and a craft she continued to elevate with time, intention, and practice. If you’ve ever thought our bread was one of a kind, you’re right. Every recipe we make was developed by hand, with care you won’t find anywhere else.

As friends and neighbors began tasting her sourdough, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Those early requests, along with our Huntsville market journey, eventually opened the door for us to purchase the Swiss Pantry you know and love today.
